Meltingshopping website : New version
Presentation :
The Saint-Josse traders' website, www.meltingshopping.be, went live in the spring of 2006. Any Saint-Josse trader can be listed on the site free of charge.
Since the site failed to meet a number of criteria, such as a search engine, updates and so on, the Atrium branch decided to upgrade by responding to a regional call for proposals.
Objectives :
- To upgrade the website: graphics, management tool, administrative interface, addition of pages, user-friendliness, and so forth,
- To provide a better tool and more options for the traders to promote their businesses,
- To set up an effective communications tool for all target groups: traders, residents, investors, etc.
- To secure the loyalty of the target groups and get the traders more involved.
Target groups :
- All potential customers, residents, investors and traders,
- The new customer base by building a new brand image
Expectations : To develop an innovative, effective and fun tool
Results expected : Website visits to double between now and the end of 2008.
Action plan and timetable :
- August 2007: drafting of a specification and call for tenders,
- September 2007: Selection of an IT and graphics office,
- October 2007: website upgraded,
- November 2008: new website and promotional campaign launched.
Note: The timetable was not followed, mainly because a trainee was hired.
